Such a special day!
This session sure meant a lot to me as I had the opportunity to reconnect with this family and old students of mine! Can you believe that I taught two of these beautiful girls when they were only eight years old and back in 3rd grade? And yes, I'm still calling them girls because I'm still processing the such beautiful & smart ladies they have become! There isn't anything more rewarding than being able to catch up with your previous students and learn all about the amazing things they are accomplishing. I'm so unbelievably proud of them and feel honored to know I was part of the journey that got them to where they are today!
What made this day even more meaningful was that I knew this session was being gifted to mom as a birthday present. Her daughter realized they didn't have many pictures together and wanted to do this for her. Can you think of any better gift?!? I can only hope one of my daughters does the same for me one day! They were all rockstars as they agreed to hike through one of my favorite locations, and not on the warmest day either! We didn't know if we were going to have snow when we began planning for this day earlier on, and they were all flexible with rolling with the weather we had. They all nailed their outfits and color schemes, and trusted me when it came to bringing a change of boots to walk in as it ended up being pretty muddy.
I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable time together as we shared many laughs and stories with each other. To all my past students out there, keep pressing on and following your dreams! You are able to achieve anything you want as long as you keep working for it!
